Chooszy ("we", "us", "the app") is a dating profile advisor that uses AI to analyse dating profiles. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

Chooszy collects and processes the following information:

• Profile preferences: What you tell us about yourself during setup (your name, what you're looking for, values, dealbreakers). This is stored locally on your device only.
• Screenshots you upload: Images of dating profiles you choose to analyse, and optionally your own dating profile. These are sent to our AI provider for analysis and are not stored on any server after processing.
• Read history: The results of your profile analyses (verdicts, vibes, trait tags). This is stored locally on your device only.

How we use your data

• To analyse dating profiles and provide personalised advice based on your stated preferences.
• To identify patterns across your reads and generate pattern reports.
• To generate personalised date conversation questions.

AI processing

Chooszy uses Anthropic's Claude API to analyse profile screenshots and generate advice. When you submit a profile for analysis, the screenshot images and your profile preferences are sent to Anthropic's servers for processing. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy and API terms, which state that API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models. No images or personal data are retained by Anthropic after processing is complete.

Data storage

All your personal data (profile, preferences, read history, pattern reports) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We do not operate any servers that store your personal data. If you delete the app, all your data is permanently removed.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. The only external service your data is sent to is Anthropic's Claude API for the purpose of AI analysis, as described above.

Sharing features

Chooszy allows you to share read results as text or as a visual card using your device's native share sheet. Any sharing you do is entirely your choice and uses your device's built-in sharing functionality. We have no visibility into what you share or with whom.

Photos and camera

Chooszy requests access to your photo library to allow you to select screenshots for analysis. We also request camera access for capturing profiles directly. Photos are processed for analysis and are not stored on any external server. You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

Analytics and tracking

Chooszy does not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not collect usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioural data.

Children's privacy

Chooszy is not intended for anyone under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can:

• View all your stored data within the app.
• Delete your profile and read history using the "Reset everything" option in the Profile tab.
• Delete all data by uninstalling the app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
